Super Eagles are closing in on the Free State ABC Motsepe League title while the battle for survival is set to go down to the wire.
Eagles are one win away from securing the league title and the possibility of playing National First Division football next season after they recorded a 6-0 victory over already-relegated Dinonyana FC on Thursday, 13 April 2017.
The Free State leaders are now five points ahead second placed Harmony with two games remaining. Victory against Dla 2 FC on Saturday will see them wrap up their campaign.
Harmony moved up to second spot in the standings after registering a 2-1 victory over Dla 2 at the Phuthaditjhaba Stadium.
Meanwhile, Bubchu United’s title hopes were dashed over the weekend after they suffered a 1-0 loss to Lijabatho FC who moved out of the relegation zone with that crucial win.
With Dinonyana already condemned to the SAB League, Lijabatho and Dla 2 FC will battle to beat the drop in the next two matches.
